Amelia Mae Eilola, age 82, of Powers, Michigan passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility, Powers, Michigan. She was born in Hancock, MI on October 17, 1933 the daughter of the late John A. and Agnes K Read Obituary
Very sorry to hear of Mae's death. While attending Northern, I worked along side of Mae at the Area Training Center in Marquette, MI. She was very dedicated, helpful and considerate. Enjoyed working with her and often wondered what she did after leaving Marquette. I know she loved her son Albert very much and was Blessed to have her grandchildren and family. Know that you and Mae are in my thoughts and prayers. Kay Ghiardi

We knew your mom when she was a secretary for the NMU Skills Center Director. We just want you to know that we are so sorry to see that she has passed away. I can remember sitting in the chair by her desk and chatting with her. It was clear that she loved you, Al. She typed letters for my husband, and I always got a kick out of seeing the initials she would type at the bottom: WHO/me. You and your family have our deepest sympathy.

Dear Albert, Nancy and Family,
My deepest sympathy to all of you in your loss. I am employed at Pinecrest in Powers and was very close to Mae. I feel as tho I know some of you thru her stories and sending cards out for her. She was such a wonderful lady and very much a pleasure to take care of. She always spoke so highly of all her family and people she knew. Often times we would sit and look at different books and share stories of our past years and we learned a lot about each other. She adored her grand children and was enjoying watching them grow. They certainly had a very special spot in her heart. She kept me informed of their interests in sports, camping and all the things they enjoyed doing. She kept me posted on you too Albert and your wife Sandy. The love she had for all of you was amazing. We were never at a loss for words each day we talked. It made me feel almost as tho I had become a part of the family. It was a pleasure to walk into her room daily and see her big smile that just lit up the room. She was one of the sweetest little ladies I have ever met . I will miss her terribly but will cherish all my great memories and times I had to spend with her.
