ARNE W. TAKALO, 85, of Baraga, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse. He was born in Pelkie, MI. on July 1, 1919 son of the late Henry and Anna (Wiik) Takalo. Arne attended the Hamar an Read Obituary
"Uncle" Arne was always special to me. My earliest memories of him was shortly after he returned from the service at the Takalo farm. He took me on the tractor seat and gave me a ride. I was only a few years old, but that memory of such a kind uncle will be with me until I too pass on. God bless his memory, and may God confort all who greive for him.
I am so glad I made it to the visitation, and sorry that I could not make the funeral because of the weather.

Sorry to hear of your fathers passing. I remember Uncle Arnie as a very quiet and gentle man. I also remember times on the farm and the swimming pool.
