So sorry to hear about your loss. I will never forget the day we spent together after I slept on the beach. I was leaving for Detroit to go to nursing school and wanted to be near the water and friends. We had coffee that morning together. No one else was up that early. It was a wonderful memory of living in and leaving L'Anse.
You are all in my prayers and know that he is in a better place. My heart goes out to you for the last 3 years that he had. Those circumstances are so hard on family.

Donald was a wonderful friend and second grandpa to our children. He loved to help with whatever building project we had going. He was an awesome woodworker, and could usually find a solution to whatever tricky problems old construction would throw at us. Then he would enjoy his coffee and 2 (or 3) sugars! We will greatly mss our good friend.

I am sorry to hear of Uncle Donald passing, I remember my younger days and the many days spent at the beach and visiting him and Clarice. Then the many times he would be out riding his bike and stop and chat.He was a sweetheart, he will be missed.
