ELIDA MAE JOKIPII, age 83 of L’Anse passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Marquette General Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks. She was born in Highland, MI. on September 27, 1927 the daughter of the late J Read Obituary

I always considered Elida to be a special person: a very beautiful woman with an even more beautiful soul. She will be greatly missed. As the tears come, I remind myself that faith should teach us that death is only a temporary separation. I hope all of you can do the same. Still, it is sad that this world will be a less wonderful and beautiful place for her absence but I think it more than appropriate that such a sweet soul should be gracing Heaven with her presence. It is a better place for that. May God comfort you all.
