ELIZABETH J. “BETTY JEAN” GARCIA, 66, of Baraga passed away Thursday, January 3, 2008 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in L’Anse on July 12, 1941 the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Genshaw) Magnan Read Obituary
Linda, Gary and Family, Betty Jean and i was great friends on line for over 5 years, we talked every night. I will miss her dearly. Hold on to your memories as I will too and in time be able to smile when i think of Betty Jean. My prayer and thoughts are with you.

Betty Jean was loved by many people around the world who she had met. Her kindness and humor endeared her to them.
I only knew her for 5 years but have a void in my life with her passing. I looked forward to being able to talk each day to her. She always was able to laugh despite her illness.
I can only imagine the immensity of your loss and offer my deepest condolences.
God now as an another angel to help pour out the rain.

The last time I spoke to Betty Jean was right after my mom died (Gloria Bressette). They were such good friends and I always got such a kick out of Betty Jean when I spoke to her or saw her. She had an amazing sense of humor! Today I thought I would call her and see how she was and sadly I find out she's passed. My mom loved her dearly and she always made my mom laugh. I know today they are either sitting at a crowded bingo hall together or exchanging celestial emails cracking eachother up. May you find peace in knowing what a specail lady Betty Jean was.
