Helen was a super person. Always polite even when my dog ran over to her house and ate a roast in a pot she placed on the outside porch since it was winter time. I am sorry for the loss. It is a reminder of how fast time goes and to focus a bit more on what is important. Tell people you love them and spend time together. We'll all be here sooner than we think.

A wonderful laugh, a smile that lit up any room, and a presence that made you feel welcome and loved; that was my Aunt Helen. The U.P. won't be quite the same without her, but I am so very glad to have known her and happy for all the good memories I carry with me.
Our condolences to the entire Younggren family on Helen's passing. For nearly 40 years I have talked with Helen on the phone about various insurance issues. She was always very friendly and kind. May you all have wonderful memories of Helen to hang on to that will help you through this time of loss. In deepest sympathy--Barb Bennett, MI Assn. of Timbermen Self-Insurers' Fund Board and Staff
So sorry to hear about Helen! I will always remember her smile whenever I would see her. Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. Lisa, Jerry & Jonny DesLaurier

Aunt Helen was truly a centerpiece of my extended family! Technically, she was my mothers (Lowella Eskel) Aunt and my Great Aunt. But, all of the second and third cousins called her Aunt Helen!
While growing up in Covington (1963-1981), Helen was always the go to person for the entire family when someone got hurt or sick. Family members always knew they could call Helen with questions or advise. She was always available to lend comforting words when someone needed her. As I, type this and think about it we are talking 5 decades. For over 50 years, Aunt Helen helped family, but it doesn't stop with family she helped the whole community, anyone she knew! She was a very strong woman and leader. I looked up to her from a very young age.
Over the years, I spent countless hours at my Grandma's (Norma Howes) sitting back and listening to several strong women in my family. Helen was one of them along with the late, Leila Pauette, Mary Younggren, Irene Younggren, and Norma Howes! Listening to them complain about my Grandma's coffee being too strong and she never had any bake goods....Solving life's problems one by one! I treasured those moments and would give anything to have one more "Coffee Break" with each of them!
My thoughts and prayers are with my mother and family, all my cousins and family members! Along with my Great Uncle Francis! God Bless Aunt Helen, you will surely be missed by all!

I can't even begin to say how much I will miss Helen. She was the best sister-in-law, always loving and caring and fun. Anyone who knew her loved her.
