JOHN R. "BUTCH" SELKEY, 58, of Baraga died suddenly Sunday evening, February 26 at his residence. He was born in L'Anse, MI. on May 5, 1947 son of the late Robert and Gladys (Anderson) Selkey. Butch attended Baraga High School. He Read Obituary
Life just isn't the same out on the Baraga Plaines without Butch. As I drive past his home it feels so empty. I smile as I think of him now growing sweet corn for our loved ones who have left this world.

Butch was one of my dad's best friends and also a good friend of ours. He has been in our thoughts and prayers throughout his illness. He is know at peace and no longer in pain with that we hope you can all find some sort of peace yourselves. Butchie was one of a kind and one of the good guys. He would give you his shoes and shirt if he thought you needed them. He will always remain in our hearts forever and always.
