Dear Vertanen Family,
It was so nice to get re-aquainted with Louise again after so many years. It was great that she became my Mom's roommate at Bayside. She was always watching out for Ethyl. I enjoyed hearing about all of you. She was a great lady, very caring of others. She will be missed.
Sincere sympathy to the family of Louise Vertanen. My parents, Harvey and Lempi Kauppinen, were friends of Louise and Bill, going way back. I have sweet memories, from elementary school years, of the fun-filled birthday parties Louise hosted for Julie. The special room filled with dolls and other beautiful toys is unforgettable. How Louise must have loved children—her own as well as others. Thinking of you at this sad time.
Dearest Julie, Kurt, Gail, Vicky, Bill and Family.....My heart is with you, along with my condolences. I have so many wonderful memories of my high school years of visits and sleep-overs at "The Vertanen's". I shall hold your Mom with sweet memories of many great times filed with fun, laughter, and whole-hearted giving.
With Love,
Cathy
