To the family of Dick: My deepest sympathy on the lose of Dad/Grandpa. I'm a retired C.O. and Dick was one of my first training officers, along with John Snyder and Jack McGinty. While in training at Baraga I enjoyed a number of meals at your home, when you kids were little (spring of 1966). The lessons Dick passed on to me on how to handle people enjoying the outdoors, even those enjoying it too much, made my career as a C.O. most enjoyable. Our prayers are with you and your families.

Mary Ann and Family, I am so sorry to hear about Richard. We had a lot of good times together,going to dances, out to eat, working at pasty sales, going for rides on the Baraga Plains.I know you will miss him terribly, he was so proud of all his Children and Grandchildren.

When I moved to L'Anse many years ago my mom asked if I ever saw Dick Beach. She went to high school with him in Newberry. I did see him now and then and he always asked about my mom, Phyllis Rahilly. My mom died on Feb. 12th. Hard to lose a parent. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Ann

having lost both parents i know there is never a good time for this experience.
i never met the senior richard, i have met sam and have fond memories of working with bob and visiting with bob ,della and their children at their home.

Bobby, Sam and family.
Gosh, how do you express feelings when you loose someone like your father. I do remember him wearing a lot of hats. Mostly his words to me at the wake for my father. They ment so much I still remember them. Secondly his thoughts and words on my continuing my education at MTU. Other memories go back to his work with the DNR and what most don't know was and is to this day his respect within the department and his impact on how things run today. One thing for sure, he sure had a impact on a lot of people.
