Both of us were saddened to hear of Rod's sudden death. He was a hard worker and nice to talk to. We know he was looking forward to a new career helping first-time homebuyers get into the American Dream. His losss is a true loss to his friends, family and to the entire community. Our condolences.

Mary, It's Tuesday April 7, I just got home from work and found my April 1 L'Anse Sentinel had arrived. I never got through the 2nd page. I am beyond sad for both you and the boys and myself. We are 'family' and I wish I could help. I wish I could be there and just talk....Love, Mary Lou
I am so sorry to hear the sad news. I knew Rod as a client of mine, we worked together; I was one of his diamond suppliers for the past year. He was good man to work with; and I am terribly sorry to hear this sad news. I extend my sympathies to your family during this difficult time.

The news of Rod's passing came as such a shock. I have known Rod for almost 25 years. I had the pleasure to work with Rod as part of my job in radio advertising. Most recently I had the chance to work with him as he closed his store. I always knew Rod was a sharp businessman. I had no idea how sharp he was. I considered it an honored to be taken into his confidence and to have him show me some of the inside info. At my 60 years of age Rod taught me a thing or two about how to go out of business and not loose money. Rod was a client and a friend. Much more the friend then the client. I will miss him.
