SHANDA R. LA FERNIER's Obituary
SHANDA R. LaFERNIER, 23, of Zeba, passed away suddenly at her home Saturday, January 7, 2012. She was born in Marquette, MI on August 30, 1988 the daughter of Robert A. Frank and Rachelle R. Hagberg. Shanda attended school in L'Anse. On July 31, 2010 she married John LaFernier, Jr. in L'Anse. Shanda enjoyed camping, writing poetry and pontoon boating.
Shanda is survived by her loving husband John, son Evan John who was born February 23, 2009, mother Rachelle, brothers Ryan Grismer, Robert Frank, and Toby Frank, sisters Shanice Lindemann, and Sondra Chapman, step fathers Pete Ketola and Tim Lindemann, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends Rose and Andrea also survive. She was preceded in death by her father Robert and sister Bambi.
A memorial funeral service for Shanda was held at 1 p.m., Monday, January 16, 2012 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse with Reino Ketola officiating. The family greeted friends at the funeral chapel on Monday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Following the memorial funeral service, the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon at the L'Anse Eagles Club.
