WILLIAM P. “BILLY” GABE, 55, of L’Anse passed away suddenly Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse. He was born in Laurium, MI. on June 1, 1952 son of the late Joseph A. and Nestelle (Brunet) Gabe. Bill Read Obituary

Dear Joe and family,
Dan was your co-worker at the mine and I had the pleasure of being introduced to you and your wife at Red Lobster before you retired. We were so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother, Billy. No words can express our heartfelt sympathy, please know that you are all in our hearts and prayers. Losing someone you love is so very difficult. Dan and I just lost our beautiful, daugher Kelsey Leigh on June 9th this year so we know and understand just how difficult this is. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers and please do the same for us. Thank you. Dan always had such wonderful things to say about you Joe whenever he spoke of you. Hope you are enjoying retirement. May Billy rest is peace with the Lord.

I was very saddened to hear about Billy's death. Although I haven't seen him in years, I have so many great memories of summers with all of the Gabe boys in Gay. Joe, my heart goes out to you. Know that I think of all of you guys often...every time I drive by your old place in Gay. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers

We really enjoyed visiting with him on our trips back home and he will surely be missed. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this time.
